Happy Easter

Our Word Power word of the month is Hope.  In this season of Easter we are reminded of the hope we find in Jesus Christ through the celebration of His resurrection.  Over 2000 years ago Jesus Christ was resurrected and with His resurrection he gave us the gift of hope.   In exchange for this gift, as Christians we are commissioned to share the good news!  And what’s the good news you may ask?  3 little words - He is Risen!  Shout it out to the world this Easter, Jesus Christ is Risen!

While hope is found throughout the Bible, this month we focus on Psalm 71:14-15, “As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.  My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long...”

Our character of the month is Christopher Michael Lee.   Chris is a football fanatic and his favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He is 12 years old and lives with his Mom and Dad in Granville.  He has an older brother named Darren who’s in college and comes home on school breaks and holidays.   Chris expresses the hope found in Jesus by helping other people out.  When you find a person looking sad, a simple smile or kind word can give them hope.

Join Chris this month as we pass on the good news of Christ’s resurrection and the gift of hope, He has given us.
